COVID-19 Policy

Please see below for details on what we request from you if you are attending an in-person event and what we are doing to ensure a COVID-safe M/FW. The health and safety of both the public and participants have been foremost in the design of M/FW 2022 events.

All COVID-safe requirements are subject to change and will be in accordance with the requirements of the Victorian Government’s Pandemic Management Arrangements and the Victorian Chief Health Officer Directions in place at the time.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us by emailing mfw@melbourne.vic.gov.au and remember to always refer to the latest information on the DHHS website.

What we are doing

To ensure a COVID-safe event, and in keeping with Chief Health Officer directives, M/FW is:

  • Ensuring all runway venues will have hand sanitiser available for patrons
  • Ensuring all event staff practise good hygiene whilst working at the event
  • Ensuring regular cleaning schedules are in place
  • Ensuring all staff who are sick or displaying any of the known symptoms stay home and get tested
  • COVID-safety signage displayed at all runway venues, encouraging patrons to practise good hygiene

Play your part

We request that members of the public attending in-person M/FW events please follow these steps:

  • While compulsory mask wearing is no longer a requirement, you may wish to do so, if you feel the need.
  • If you are sick or displaying any of the known symptoms, please stay home and get tested
  • Practise good hygiene whilst at the event (e.g. use of sanitiser)
  • Use bins provided for any waste materials
  • Follow any displayed instructions and signage
